FORT PIERCE – GraceWay Village (GWV) hosted its 11th Annual Butterfly Kisses
father-daughter dance on Sunday, April 21 at the historical 500 Orange venue in Fort
Pierce, with proceeds benefiting the nonprofit’s clients and programs.
GWV’s mission includes feeding the hungry, providing clothing to children ages infant
through 18, and hosting basic life skills workshops designed to improve lives and
productivity. The nonprofit fulfills its mission by providing free, hot meals in its Cafe
four nights a week and appropriate clothing, underwear, socks, and shoes to children in
its Clothing Boutique two days a week, in addition to its weekly educational workshops
and playgroups.
GWV initiatives are free for all neighbors in need, making fundraisers like the Butterfly
Kisses Dance crucial to maintaining a community that offers every opportunity for those
in crisis to build a foundation for a healthy, independent, and sustainable life.
Guests enjoyed lunch catered by Moonswiners Bar-B-Q, dancing, music by Next Level
Entertainment, raffles, a silent auction, and activity stations, including face painting and
cookie decorating.
One young guest excitingly proclaimed, “Daddy! There are butterflies everywhere!”
The dance’s gracious sponsors included Diamond Sponsor Down the Hole Testing &
Drilling; This One’s for the Girls Sponsors Children Services Council of St. Lucie County
and WalMart DC 7038; Silver Sponsors R.K. Davis Construction Corporation and
Colorado Pawn & Jewelry; Bronze Sponsors Laser Hair Solutions & Electrolysis and Red

Rhino; Lunch Sponsor Moonswiners Bar-B-Q; and Catering Sponsor DSK Meal
Planning & Catering.
“Every donation, sponsorship, twirl, and laugh will benefit the programs and families of
GraceWay Village,” said Chrystal Netherton, GWV's chief executive officer. “We are
continuously thankful for our community.”
