The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary recently held a patriotic Christmas in July event at Two
Georges Dockside Grille in Port Salerno. The lively fundraiser featured light bites, trivia and
games, and garnered over $5000 and a myriad of donated toys in support of The Salvation
Army’s Angel Tree program, which provides gifts to children in need at Christmastime.
“Thank you to all our supporters who helped to give The Salvation Army a headstart on this
worthwhile program,” said Kim Johnson, Women’s Auxiliary President. “It’s a blessing to know
that our efforts will make Christmas a little brighter for many children in our area.”
