Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee Counties raises over $10,000 at Bowl for Kids’ Sake

Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee Counties raised over $10,000 for the children it serves at its Bowl for Kids’ Sake event on Saturday, March 1 at Saint Lucie Lanes in Port St. Lucie.

Stakeholders, donors, event sponsors, and BBBS staff, board members, and volunteers gathered at the bowling fundraiser in support of BBBS’ one-to-one mentoring programs. The nonprofit’s mission is to create and support these one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of our youth. BBBS programs are free for all participants, making fundraisers like Bowl for Kids’ Sake crucial to maintaining a community that offers every opportunity for our youth to achieve their full potential.

Event sponsors included Strike Sponsor Publix Charities and Perfect Game Sponsor Walmart; Lane Sponsors East Coast Lumber & Supply Co., Lakewood Park Elementary, and Remnant Construction; and Pin Sponsors Moonswiners Bar-B-Q, KRK Enterprises, Inc., and West Gate K-8.

Raffle donors included East Coast Lumber & Supply Co., HauteDry of Vero Beach, J. Public Relations, and Vernon Scott Resort Wear of Vero Beach.

“I want to extend my deepest gratitude to our incredible sponsors and teams who made the return of Bowl for Kids’ Sake a success,” said Debbie Hawley, BBBS chief executive officer. “Together we are defending the potential of our youth.”

The next Bowl for Kids’ Sake event will take place in September of 2025.
