FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Baron Academy's New Year's Afterglow Event to Celebrate and Support Our Treasure Coast Autism Community
Port St. Lucie, FL — Baron Academy, a non-profit private school where children with autism and developmental differences are understood, celebrated, and empowered to thrive, is announcing its New Year’s Afterglow Autism Awareness Fundraising event.
We invite all friends, families, and compassionate neighbors across the Treasure Coast to join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating the light of learning, community and hope on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the elegant 500 Orange Event Center in Fort Pierce.
This community celebration includes dinner, dancing, and a thoughtful silent auction. Every dollar raised will go directly toward supporting Baron Academy’s mission: providing individualized, high-quality education in a nurturing environment where students with autism and developmental disabilities can truly flourish.
Rooted in Love and Growth:
Baron Academy was founded by local parents seeking an educational setting where their own son with autism could reach his fullest potential. That passion led to the school's opening in January 2020—the first K-8 private school in Port St. Lucie created specifically for children with autism and developmental delays.
From starting out in a modest school space serving 15 students, throughout the years we have grown into a vibrant community now serving 60 students in our custom-built 8,000-square-foot school facility in St. Lucie West. This growth reflects the Treasure Coast's commitment to its children.
Baron Academy's foundation is built on compassion, clear structure, and proven practices, providing individualized instruction that nurtures both academic achievement and social and emotional growth. The New Year’s Afterglow Fundraiser is crucial for helping us enhance specialized programs, expand educational resources, and continue opening doors for every unique learner.
“We built Baron Academy to give children with autism a place where they are understood, supported, and celebrated,” said Co-Founder and Director Kristine Erice. “This fundraiser allows our whole community to come together, reflect on how far we’ve come, meet other special needs parents and caregivers, and help ensure a bright and promising future for every one of our incredible students.”
Join us in celebrating this journey and helping us to build an even brighter tomorrow for the special needs children in our community.
