Steve Earle – Alone Again Tour, Solo & Acoustic
(June 8, 2024 7:00pm)

Steve Earle is one of the most acclaimed singer/songwriters of his generation. A protégé of
legendary songwriters Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark, he quickly became a master storyteller
in his own right, with songs recorded by Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Joan Baez, Emmylou
Harris, The Pretenders, and countless other artists.

Earle’s debut album, Guitar Town, was the one that put him on the map. The eponymous lead
single peaked at Number 7 on the Billboard Hot Country chart and the album is regarded as a
classic of the American genre. Since then, subsequent releases like The Revolution Starts…Now,
Washington Square Serenade, and TOWNES received Grammy Awards for Best Contemporary
Folk Album. He also has four additional nominations in the same category.

Restlessly creative across artistic disciplines, Earle has published a novel and collection of short
stories, produced albums for other artists, including Joan Baez and Lucinda Williams, and acted
in films, television (including David Simon’s acclaimed The Wire,) and on the stage. In 2009, he
appeared in the off-Broadway play Samara, for which he wrote a score that The New York
Times described as “Exquisitely subliminal.” Earle also wrote music for and appeared in Coal
Country, a Public Theatre play that explored the deadliest mining accident in U.S. history. For
that, he was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for his work on the music. He was recently
inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
